Beginning Weaving
Students will learn the basics of weaving on a four harness table loom. We will go through the steps of designing and weaving at least two projects, from calculating the warp to finishing the projects.
6 weeks / one night a week for 2 hours

Advanced Beginning Weaving
Students will continue work from beginning class, learning more weaving techniques and finishes.

Southwest Tapestry Rug Weaving
Students will learn various weft face joins, learn to work with a cartoon and create various shapes. Each student will design a small piece using the various tapestry techniques. Students must have taken Beginning Weaving or know how to warp a 4 harness loom and be familiar with plain weave.

Beginning Spinning
Learn to spin beautiful yarns. Students will learn the basics of carding, cleaning, spinning, and skeining wool. They will learn to spin on drop spindles and on a wheel. Bring your own wheel or use one from Kathee.
4 weeks / one night a week for 2 hours

Magical Shawl Workshop
Everyone needs a shawl to wrap oneself in for warmth and energy. One will choose yarn colors inspired from personal connection to the elements, animals and plants and more. In this workshop each participant will warp and weave a shawl, learning the warping, weaving and finishing techniques for this project.
2 days / 9am – 4pm

Personal Pouch Workshop
Inspired by the pouches of Peru, each participant will design and create a personal pouch, to carry and/or contain a particular object. One will choose yarn colors inspired from personal connection to the elements, animals and plants and more. One will design create and finish the pouch in the workshop, learning weaving, finishing and embellishing techniques.
2 days / 9am-4pm

Altar Cloth Workshop
Inspired from the mantas of Peru, each participant will weave a cloth to use for one’s altar. One will choose yarn colors inspired from personal connection to the elements, animals and plants and more. One will design create and finish the altar cloth in the workshop, learning weaving, finishing and embellishing techniques
2 days / 9am – 4pm

Scarf
Learn to weave a scarf in a weekend. Learn how to calculate warp, warp a loom, weave, and finishing techniques.
2 days / 10am – 3pm
$125 plus materials – Includes use of loom in studio

Twill Weave
Students will learn to read a draft, practice basic and advancing twills. Students will select a pattern(s), design and complete a project. Advanced twill workshops teach undulating and advandcing twills.
Prerequisite: Beginning weaving class
